The Colombo Stock Exchange (CSE) has zeroed in on 11 potential firms to go public, officials said.

“We initially met 30 firms and now we have had discussion with 11 potential firms to go for Initial Public Offerings (IPO). Out of these about six firms are working on their IPO applications,” a senior CSE official told the Business Times.

The CSE is also planning a roadshow next August with the Board of Investment in a move to capitalize on the Crown Casino project investment by Australian Casino mogul James Packer.

“We’re going to Singapore in January and in March Abu Dhabi,” he said, adding that in May and June CSE will be in London and New York roadshows.
