Sri Lanka’s John Keells Holdings said its 40 billion-rupee worth rights issue was ‘substantially’ oversubscribed when the offer closed on Friday.

The group offered 132 million shares at a price of Rs 175 each with attached warrants. The money is being raised for the group’s new integrated development project on its former headquarters property at Slave Island in Colombo.
