The Asiri Surgical Hospital (ASH) said last week that it has received the ISO Certification for Occupational Health and Safety Management and Total Quality Management systems.

The hospital has also earlier received ISO 9001:2008 and OHSAS 18001:2007 certification for Occupational Health and Safety Management System by BM Trada Certifications Ltd., United Kingdom. This certification was awarded for the hospital’s faultless commitment to providing world-class health care solutions including surgical care, critical care, diagnostic and rehabilitation services that conforms to the specific standards by International Standards Organization (ISO).

Currently, the hospital is in the process of working towards obtaining Joint Commission International (JCI) accreditation which is the Gold standard in hospital accreditation. JCI has been the leader in patient safety in the global health care industry and in 2005, WHO designated JCI as a Centre for Patient Safety Solutions.
