The Colombo Magistrate on Monday ordered the Director General of the Telecommunication Regulatory Commission to submit a report on the alleged telephone calls asking for details of a case pending before the Colombo High Court on Monday.

Keselwatte Police PC Kumara Hettiaratchi told court that unidentified callers who pretended to be from the Sri Lanka Broadcasting Corporation had called the chambers of Colombo High Court Judge Kumudini Wickremasinghe on several occasions and asked for details of a case pending before the Colombo High Court.

He also told court that the calling party had a 12 digit number while local telephone numbers have only ten digits. Keselwatte Police OIC CI Jayanetti filed a report on the investigations. Keselwatte Police started investigations into the incident following a complaint made by PC Suranga Ratnayake attached to the Judicial Security division
