SJMS Associates signs MOU with CMA Sri Lanka as training partner
View(s):SJMS Associates, the well-known long established firm of chartered accountants and an independent correspondent firm to Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu, recently signed an MOU with CMA as an ‘Accredited Practical Training Partner’. CMA students will be provided with a minimum of two years practical training in accounting, internal auditing and management consultancy which would enable the students to have an all round practical training and make them eligible for jobs in the private and public sectors.
All CMA students who have registered with CMA are eligible to undergo their practical training while studying for the exams.
They could now register with CMA for obtaining places in accredited firms for their required training, according to a CMA statement.
Senior partner of SJMS, Aruna Jayawickrama stated that CMA students will now be able to get a good grounding in the practical aspects in the field of Management and Financial Accounting with high quality supervised training provided by SJMS.
The MOU was signed by Mr. Jayewickrama, Senior Partner SJMS Associates and Prof. Lakshman R. Watawala – President CMA. Also present were Partner SJMS and Council Member CMA Basheer Ismail, Executive Director CMA L. B. Wattegedara and Director Operations Arosh Yahampath.
