The Asia-Pacific Centre of Education for International Understanding (APCEIU) held its 9th EIU Photo Class from November 26 to December 1 at selected sites in Sri Lanka. The theme was ‘In Search of Various Colours in Sri Lanka’.

APCEIU has been implementing Education for International Understanding (EIU) programmes and initiatives to achieve the mission of promoting and developing EIU toward a Culture of Peace in the Asia-Pacific region.

The ‘EIU Photo Class’ allows students to learn the basic techniques of photography and empowered participating students to respect various cultures by capturing images of everyday lives.
20 Sri Lankan secondary school students between 14-18 years and three Korean secondary school students between 14-18 years participated, guided by Sri Lankan and Korean professional photographers, teachers and APCEIU and Sri Lankan National Commission for UNESCO staff.
