Fathima Jasmine smiles through a world of pain. Having lost her left leg due to a blood clot at a very early age, she manages, with difficulty, her roles as a wife and mother of a little daughter, hobbling on an artificial limb.

Unfortunately the stump of the amputation has changed in shape and size so the artificial leg does not fit anymore, causing wounds to open up on the stump which is very painful for Fathima.

Having to spend on medications that she has to take all her life, Fathima and her humble family are struggling to pay for an artificial limb replacement. As such she is appealing to generous donors to help her collect Rs. 310,000 so that she can live a pain-free life, attending to her four-year-old daughter, Kushani.

Fathima may be contacted at their home: 343/2, Bollatha, Ganemulla and on phone: 0771124058 or 0754342945. Donations may be sent to her Account No. 332-2-001-4-0026774 at the Ganemulla branch of the People’s Bank.
