Holy Cross College Kalutara Old Boys’ Union holds career guidance seminar

Legendary spinner Muttiah Muralidharan will be the special guest at Cross Roads 2012, a career guidance seminar organised by the Holy Cross College Kalutara Old Boys’ Union, with the Colombo Branch at the Holy Cross College Kalutara auditorium on Friday, November 9 at 8.30 a.m.

The Old Boys’ Union Colombo Branch has organised this seminar for several years and last year opened it up to students of all schools in the Kalutara education zone. Over 800 students participated. This year they will be assisted by the Aitken Spence HR Division.

A special focus this year will be on “ Self Discovery” and the ways in which a young student can choose a career path. A critically important factor in choosing higher education is knowing a student’s capabilities and aptitudes clearly. The seminar will focus on these important areas to be of benefit to both students and parents.

World record holder Muttiah Muralidharan will share his experiences on leadership and how to cope with and perform under pressure. Students will have the opportunity of meeting him personally at the seminar.
