In a fashion world where the women are usually the cynosure of all eyes, it was the turn of the men on the catwalk as Manhunt International 2012 was worked off last Sunday. Seeing off the competition, Madura Peiris carried off the winner’s trophy and will represent Sri Lanka at Manhunt International later this year.

The premier pageant for male models, Manhunt presented by Lou Ching Wong took place at the Hilton Residencies with 15 finalists taking the ramp before the critical view of the panel of judges, all well known names from the beauty and fashion industry. It was not just the contestants physique that mattered, intelligence and personality all came into play. They took the ramp in different attire, modelling oriental wear, swim wear and formal wear giving the audience enough time to take a good look and root for their favourites.

Madura was adjudged the winner with Lasitha Gunasekera being chosen as first runner-up and Amila Perera as second-runner up, with Dushan Richard and Vimukthi Lakmal also making it to the final five.
