Dudley Senanayake memorial oration 2012: Political impacts on Religion in Sri Lanka
View(s):The Dudley Senanayake Memorial Foundation and The Friedrich Naumann Stiftung fur die Freiheit have announced the annual Dudley Senanayake Memorial Oration will be delivered by historian, Professor John Holt William R. Kenan Jnr. on ‘Political impacts on Religion in Sri Lanka’. The oration will be on August 3 at the BCIS Auditorium at the BMICH at 5.30 p.m.
Prof. Kenan is considered an authority on many subjects. He is Professor of Humanities in Religion and Asian studies at Bowdoin College, Brunswick, Maine, USA. He has been presented with many awards, grants and fellowships and has written numerous books and papers on a variety of subjects including Religion, Buddhism, Discipline, History and Politics.
