GISM Campus promotes better Higher Education pathways, Industrial Research and Professional Development

GISM campus, acronym for the Graduate Institute of Science and Management, recently entered into partnership with the New Zealand’s premier University Massey, for the first time providing a New Zealand higher education pathway for Sri Lankan students. This partnership also sets new heights to the standards of higher education in Sri Lanka, where Massey ranks among some of the very best in the world, among the largest Universities in New Zealand.

GISM’s Founder President, Professor Dr. G. G. Senaratne is aimed to deliver the highest quality academic standards in the country. By doing so, he combines some of the best lecturers, most of them who hold PhD qualification from local and foreign Universities inclusive of the Top Universities in the world and the industries and corporate sector.

Sri Lanka is now preoccupied with many accelerated development programmes for a better future. After ending the 30 years long war which highly disrupted the nation’s growth rate during the last three decades, Sri Lankans now have the full freedom and opportunity to support for this venture of nation building with their capacity of interest. As a result of the open invitation made by His Excellency the President of Sri Lanka Hon. Mahinda Rajapaksha, Prof. Dr. Senaratne as one of the Sri Lankan expatriates whose foremost intention is helping for the cause of the development of Sri Lanka and hence he returned home with his son Engineer Keshawa Senaratne to start the Graduate Institute of Science and Management (GISM). Prof. Dr. Senaratne has a long history of experience in both the academia and industry working and conducting research in the fields of Telecommunication, Microwave Engineering, Mathematics, Electronics Engineering as well as social and cultural activities. Mr. Keshawa is a graduate in Electronics and Computer Engineering from Canterbury University, New Zealand and a Consultant Engineer in Electronics and Automation Engineering.

The Graduate Institute of Science and Management (GISM), Sri Lanka, envisages providing culturally and intellectually stimulating learning environment in which scholarship and creativity can flourish hand in hand. This Institute will promote excellence in academic standards at the graduate and post­graduate levels through the adoption of new innovations and state-of-the-art technologies in teaching methodologies as well as research. The programs will be delivered by distinguished faculty members of repute to complement our national workforce. Such an ambitious program will be delivered in a frame work of corporate social responsibility in a manner that is sympathetic to the needs and demands of Sri Lanka and the neighboring countries.
