Now the pathway begins at GISM Campus to Graduate in New Zealand

A rare opportunity for A/L Students What turn of event in the life of a child after receiving G.C.E. A/L Examination results would be, in formulating his/her future plans in consonance with the next choice in higher education? With such uncertainties of the future plan of the child, proper guidance has to be offered to fashion the child’s next step in a prestigious University to acquire his/her dreams. There is no doubt that the gravity of such discomfiture would cause anxiety in parents’ minds.

We, the Graduate Institute of Science and Management (GISM) with pleasure enounces to both the students and parents that such anxieties shall no more be problematic. Therefore, GISM is the natural choice in such a scenario where it now offers Undergraduate Degrees in IT, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Business and Management, Sport Business Management, Accounting, Marketing, HR, Agribusiness, International Business and many more, all affiliated with Massey University New Zealand. Strengthening the ties of collaboration with Massey University, Professor Robert Anderson, the Pro-Vice Chancellor, Professor Chris Moore Associate Pro Vice-Chancellor (International) and
Director of Teaching and Learning College of Business and the Professor Tony Norris, the Head of the Institute of Information and Mathematical Sciences at Massey University recently visited Sri Lanka where they exchanged the modalities of further collaborations with GISM, opening enormous scopes for Higher Education and The first batch of GISM’s Massey University pathway programme is to proceed to Massey University, New Zealand, in December 2011 to complete the Degree. GISM offers support services for these students in processing of visa, guidance for accommodation, guidance for finding part time employment and prepare them for the life in New Zealand.

In New Zealand, these student can work 20 hours per week and unlimited hours in holiday periods and after the degree, these student are to get New Zealand work permit for one year initially and an extension of one more year. GISM offers students other rare facilities such as bank loans with easy repayments after completion of the Degree programme, mentoring support and hostel facilities. Apart from these, GISM considers that it’s her bounden duty is to prepare the student suitably for an independent life abroad by developing their work skills etc. even before leaving Sri Lankan shores. Hence, all these support services are geared by GISM toward attainment of quality education for our future professionals in Engineering, Technology, Management and Sciences domains in Sri Lanka.
