By Sanath Weerasuriya

Popular Sri Lankan duo Rohitha and Roshan of Jayasri fame was seen in live in Concert in Melbourne recently for the first time. Rohitha and Roshan, who are based in Vienna, Austria, came alive at the ‘Melbourne Rhythm’, a musical extravaganza at Springvale Town Hall on 13 March.

Rohitha and Roshan finished their European assignments for the winter season with ‘United Nations Ball’ in Vienna in early March before taking along flight to Down Under. Jayasri twins joined the top Sri Lankan legends Desmond de Silva, Dalreen and Priyantha Fernando on stage to rock the Melbourne Lankans.

‘It was a nice experience for us. That was the very first time we have performed Down Under and we shared the stage with the legends of Sri Lankan music scene’ Rohitha said. The concert was organized by DJ Naz and DJ Veejay and backed by ‘See7th’ band from Melbourne.

The duo is still performing in Australia with DJ Naz and DJ Veejay at the Melbourne club circuit.
‘We will be in Australia till end of March and will be in Colombo for Avurudu straight from Down Under’ he added.

The twins have captured the club scene in Melbourne with their usual English Reggae Club repertoire along with Jayasri international hits from their European Projects.

‘We have already been billed to play in December and many inquires for more shows in other cities too. We love to be back in Australia’ Rohitha said.
