Issadeen too good for Weerasuriya

Yasir Issadeen scored a 11-8, 11-8 and 11-9 win over KasunWeerasuriya in an under 23 boys squash match at the Senior Squash Nationals worked off at the Gymkhana Club courts yesterday.

The first set was won by Issadeen with scoreline of 11-8. The second and third sets went to Issadeen 11-8 and 11-9 respectively. In another under 23 boys match Gihan Swaris pulled off an 11-7, 11-8 and 11-9 win over Kasun Abeysekera.

In the men’s open matches Naveen Samarasinghe scored a 11-7, 11-5 and 11-5 win over Ravindu Laksiri while Yasir Issadeen pulled off a 11-1, 11-0 and 11-4 win over Adnan Hussain.

Saman Tillekeratne took on Kasun Abeywesekera in another match which saw Tillekeratne going on to win the match 11-3, 11-3 and 11-3 whilst Kasun Weerasuriya went down to Anura Hewage at 7-11, 5-11 and 4-11.

Lal Wickremasinghe beat Chaminda Hewage 11-3, 11-7 and 11-6, Gihan Swarais notched up his second victory for the day when he scored a 11-4, 11-8 and 11-3 win over Hasith Abeysekera.
Dishan Senarathna suffered a 11-7, 4-11, 8-11 and 5-11 loss to Eranga Alwis.
Binura Jayasuriya scored a 11-4, 11-3 and 11-6 win over P.Wijethunga.
