Final night of All Danced Out!

Tonight’s the final night of All Danced Out - a theatre production that features a compilation of modern dance items from Latin American, Ballroom, Modern Freestyle, Fusion and Hip Hop to Contemporary Jazz styles.

The show will feature twenty dance acts including Tango Argentino; a taste of the magic and mystery of Tango in Argentina, The Matador; the sound, drama, and movement of the Spanish bullfight brought to stage in this lively Paso Doble, Jai Ho; all the excitement and colour of Bollywood set to A. R. Rahman’s Academy Award winning song and Blackbird Fly; a dance exemplifying the freedom fight in the ‘60s civil rights movement.

The performances will be a compilation of different dance styles; old and new, traditional and contemporary and the soundtrack will be a mix of fiery salsas, dreamy waltzes, upbeat jazz and Broadway.

Some of Sri Lanka’s champion dancers and exciting young talent to emerge over the last few years will be on stage. Produced by Footwork Events, the entire production is choreographed by Toni Fernandez and Kevin Nugara and directed by Dharshan Wijesooriya.

All Danced Out is on today, September 20 at the Bishop’s College Auditorium from 7 p.m. onwards. Tickets are priced at Rs. 1500, 1250, 1000, 750 and 500 and will be available at Bishop’s College Auditorium. The media sponsors for the event are The Sunday Times, The Daily Mirror and ART TV.
