‘Ice Age’ cools the town

An entertaining animation movie filled with comedy, action and spectacular visual effects, ‘Ice Age 3- Dawn of Dinosaurs’ is now in Colombo.

Co- directed by Carlos Saldanha and Michael Thurmeier, the third episode of ‘Ice Age’ series is produced by Lori Forte and John C. Donkin.

The sub-zero heroes from the worldwide blockbusters “Ice Age” and “Ice Age: The Meltdown” are back, on an incredible adventure...for the ages.

After the events of “Ice Age: The Meltdown”, life begins to change for Manny and his friends: Scrat is still on the hunt to hold onto his beloved acorn, while finding a possible romance in a female sabre-toothed squirrel named Scratte. Manny and Ellie, having since become an item, are expecting a baby, which leaves Manny anxious to ensure that everything is perfect for his baby when he arrives.

Diego is fed up with being treated like a house-cat and ponders the notion that he is becoming too laid-back. Sid begins to wish for a family of his own, and so steals some dinosaur eggs which lead to Sid ending up in a strange underground world where his herd must rescue him, while dodging dinosaurs and facing danger left and right, and meeting up with a one-eyed weasel known as Buck that hunts dinosaurs intently.

Distributed by 20th Century Fox, the film features the voices of Ray Romano, John Leguizamo, Denis Leary, Queen Latifah, Seann William Scott, Josh Peck, Simon Pegg, and Chris Wedge.

‘Ice Age 3- Dawn of Dinosaurs’ is now being screened at Liberty cinema, Colombo-3.
