A roof tile manufacturing factory declared open by Minister Philip Gunawardena in 1968 in Oddusuddan appears to have been in operations until recent years. Government now plans to revive the factory.

Mullaitivu Government Agent Mary Imelda Sugumar and the President’s Co-ordinating Secretary Sudath Abeysinghe are seen visiting the factory to discuss the recommencement of production at the factory.
