Fusion '09, the mega musical extravaganza presented by the boys of Wesley College last weekend opened with a fitting tribute to the valiant armed forces of Sri Lanka, represented by old boys of the College.

Fusion '09 seamlessly blended the musical traditions of both the Oriental and Occidental worlds in a memorable evening of music, song and dance, enthralling the filled-to-capacity Ananda College Auditorium.

The highlight of the evening was a special dedication to our war heroes, as the three choirs joined voices in unison, celebrating a united Mother Lanka.

The performers took the audience from colourful Calypso music, traditional Sinhala and Tamil folk dances and songs, and magic of the Disney hit 'The Little Mermaid', to a magnificent
performance of the College Brass Band, the throbbing rhythms of the Hewisi Band, Western hip hop performances, the College Choirs and more, proudly showcasing the multi-dimensional talents of the boys of Wesley College.
