‘Peacock Beach Hotel’: Avurudu Holiday in the Deep South

The Peacock is geared for the holiday season with a range of activities lined up for its clients patronising the hotel during the holiday season.

Peacock is celebrating New Year in a traditional way with an Avurudu festival including kiddies’ games, traditional live cookery demonstrations and an Avurudu feast.

‘A Complimentary nature ride on the Open Double Decker ride is available to all the hotel guests and Ice-cream corner for the little ones said Gishani Guruge, Director – Operations.

Managing Director, Dulani Guruge mentions that the Holiday month of April includes BBQ Nights by the beach every Saturday and a Traditional village night in the Moneratenna, out in the Gardens every Tuesday. Live entertainment decorates the sumptuous buffets with Calypso, DJ and Karaoke music lighting up the evenings.

She also states that the hotel in conjunction with Travel Station, the Travel arm of the Guruge Group has introduced a ‘Friends & Family Package’ which includes Transport, Safari excursions and accommodation at peacock.
