Reality Shows on Swarnavahini

Swarnavahini has added three more reality shows to its ongoing popular reality show series. Titled as ‘Talent Sri Lanka’, ‘100% Live’ and ‘Best Losers’ the programmes are to bring a novel experience to Sri Lankan television audience.

“This exciting programme would introduce people with rare talents and abilities. Out of a large number of entries 200 were chosen and from them 32 were selected based on their performances by a panel of well-known swimmer Julian Boling, actor Robin Fernando and beautician Jenette Balasuriya,” Programme Director Buddhika Kulasekara said.

Among the 32 selected are 4 women and a seven year old child and 11 Sri Lankan Guinness Record holders.

Started on March 13, the programme will be telecast every Friday at 9.30 pm. Meanwhile three other reality programmes ‘Shadow Star’, ‘Comedy Star’ and ‘Singing Star’ have reached their fourth stage with 18 competitors from each area. Competition held between six contestants, 15 will be selected from each competition for the fifth round and the two winners of Shadow Star and Comedy Star will be awarded two houses worth Rs. 8 million. “These highly competitive reality shows are filmed at a set built in Sarasavi Studio Kelaniya,” Programme Director said.

Comedy Star is produced by Anusha Sanjeewa and is presented by Jayantha Atapattu and Singing Star is produced by Sajeewa Prathapasinghe and presented by Lahiru Mudalige. Kavinda Suren produced ‘Shadow Star’ and it is presented by actress Anusha Damayanthi.
