ICBT enters educational hub, Nugegoda
 

ICBT Campus, the country's leading private sector higher education provider opened its sixth modern branch campus in Nugegoda recently.

Addressing the gathering at the opening ceremony of ICBT's newest campus, Mr Mohan Pathirana, CEO/ Executive Director said that it was a proud moment for ICBT, the country's premier private sector education provider and added that since their humble beginnings in 1999 ICBT has been expanding steadily, which was a welcoming sign.

Incidentally, ICBT is the first private sector education institute in Sri Lanka to offer foreign degrees and masters programmes and has been accredited with an ISO 9001: 2000 certification.

Ms. Pirkko Harvey, a representative from the University of Middlesex UK expressing her views noted that University of Middlesex was thrilled with their collaboration with ICBT as this partnership has proven fruitful with several opportunities being created for local students to acquire quality higher education.
She added that students who have thus far transferred to the University of Middlesex UK to complete their degrees have graduated with flying colours, thus the university was looking at offering scholarships for students who excel academically.

ICBT offers a wide range of internationally recognized programmes from diploma to doctorate level in collaboration with reputed institutions and universities from India, UK, Australia and Thailand.
Their programmes include languages, IT, Business Management, Human Resource Management, Hotel and Tourism, Construction, Engineering, Teaching Technology, Early Childhood Education and Professional Testing.

ICBT, since its inception in 1999 has been constructively contributing towards the development of the country economically ,socially and culturally by providing high caliber educational programmes together with internationally reputed universities with the aim of enhancing the quality of human resource availability in Sri Lanka.

The Dean of the ICBT Campus Pro. W. M.Sirisena meanwhile attributed ICBT's success to the high quality education they offer through internationally recognized educational programmes which have high demand in the local and international job market.

He also added that they provide qualifications that are internationally recognized for a fraction of the cost in a comfortable learning environment that boasts of modern class rooms with A/C, laboratories with high tech equipment, audio visual equipment and library facilities.

Students who enroll at ICBT Nugegoda Campus before the 15th of March are entitled to P4 Computers, T-shirts, caps and other valuable gifts. (Shabnam Farook)
