Kandurata rout Basnahira South by ten wickets - Inter-Provincial Cricket

Kandurata routed Basnahira South by ten wickets with over one day to spare in the Inter-Provincial cricket tournament match concluded at the Rangiri Dambulla Stadium yesterday.

Basnahira South put in a pathetic batting display after being sent into bat again. Resuming from their overnight score of 110 for 2 they reached a score of 246 for 5 and managed to erase the deficit.

But the late order batting faltered as none of them were able to make any progress. From a healthy position of 246 for 5 they lost their remaining five wickets for the addition of just 21 runs being bowled out for 267.

Earlier Kandurata put themselves in a strong position by posting a formidable score of 370 and then bundling out Basnahira South for 123.

Kaushal and Pushpakumara put Basnahira North on top

Unbeaten tons by Kaushal Silva and Muthumudalige Pushpakumara has put Basnahira North on top against Ruhuna at the end of the third days play in their match played at the SSC ground.

Kaushal cracked 111 in 195 balls inclusive of 14 boundaries while Pushpakumara hit a 186 ball 103 with 11 boundaries with the pair being associated in an unbroken 199 runs stand for the sixth wicket as Basnahira North ended the day making 342 for 5.
