Walkers Tours promotes domestic tourism

Walkers Tours Ltd. launched its newest domestic tourism initiative last week. Focused on showcasing the splendour of nature and rich historical inheritance of Sri Lanka to Sri Lankans, the initiative comprises of two escorted tours – one to Yala and Kataragama with lodging at Yala Village, the other to the Cultural Triangle with accommodation at Chaaya Village Habarana and a comprehensive range of customised programmes catering to the needs of the most discerning Sri Lanka customer.

The escorted tours, which will commence from February 25, will be 2 nights/3 days in duration. These tours will operate on a “guaranteed departure” basis and include all meals, air conditioned transport and the best guides and naturalists available, and will cover the gamut of what Sri Lanka has to offer: from wildlife reserves to the majesty of ancient architecture; from bird trails to bio-diversity awareness sessions; from relaxation amidst serenity to excitement. Each tour is priced at Rs.10,990 per person and further discounts are available with an “Early Bird” reduction of Rs. 1,000/- for the first 500 bookings.
