Last Tuesday evening at Dukes Courts Trans Asia Hotel, Nadeeka Jayewardene, a talented musician gave birth to his maiden album and the personal website. At a time when hip hop and RNB music rocking, Nadeeka's music softens the mind and soul of the listeners. He has sticked in to a more unplugged approach with minimum electronic instruments ,which really entertain any one who will listen other than die hard rock fan.

He is a maestro in playing the base guitar which is considered as one of the hardest to skill learn in the guitar world. You should have music in your blood to be a good base guitarist. Nadeeka possess that talent. In a country which music stars born overnight, I quite surprised why he was not spotted by the people who are willing to assist the young talent. Nadeeka had to wait for more than four years to release his album after entering the music arena. We should thank ICTA the apex body for ICT in Sri Lanka extended the hand to Nadeeka to blossom.

This event was graced by the Chief Operations Officer Mr. Reshan Devapura and Mr. Athula Pushpakumara, The Head of Media & Communication at ICTA. Reshan appreciated Nadeeka's approach in making awareness about his music. www.nadeeka.lk will open the gateway and introduce Nadeeka's talents to the whole world. Still the majority of internet users use it as a medium of entertainment, so Nadeeka has opted the correct medium, added Mr. Reshan Devapura in his speech just after launching the web site.

Kasun Kalhara and Indrachapa Liyanage another popular young artistes also attended the press conference and they have humbly rated Nadeeka as the best of the best they have seen. Even Kasun , said that he enjoys Nadeeka's voice than him singing. Ranga Dasanayake the leading sound engineer in Sri Lanka also shared his thoughts and he also rated Nadeeka at a very high level. The dedication shown by this guy was quite remarkable said Ranga.

That is the best proof for this young man's talent. Nadeeka's Concert will be staged on 23rd of February at BMICH and the Album also will be commercially available from that day onwards. The album was developed by Teamwork media entertainments. Nadeeka Jayewardene was the composer of the ICT theme song launched very recently. I would recommend to include Nadeeka's album in your shopping list when you visit the music store.
