The students and teachers of Aralagangwila Galthalawa Kanishta Vidyalaya received a donation of schoolbags, books etc., from the Battaramulla – North Thalangama Dutu Gemunu Development Society recently.

This school under the Dimbulagala Educational Zone, is located in a remote rural village, formerly a border village.

The students, numbering 132, are from under-privileged families in the area. To welcome their benefactors, the children gave a very creditable band performance, using improvised instruments. The instruments were turned out from plastic cans, tins and other materials, painted up and made
