Funday Times - A Poem for the week

Ghost night
By Shabeeha Raushad (13 years), Ilma International School

Midnight strikes,
The Zombies rise from their graves.
Silently moaning,
They rip the graveyard apart.

Dr. Jekyll turns into Mr. Hyde,
Frankenstein's experiment comes alive.
The hounds howl in Baskerville,
Their fangs dripping with blood.

Vampires in Transylvania,
With Dracula leading them.
Werewolves haunt the
Dark Woods,
Howling at the full-moon.

Nightmares of the headless horseman,
Scares little children
everywhere.
Horrors coming alive,
From Poe's mysterious books.

When the first signs of morning dawn,
All these creepy monsters,
Retire to their crypts and caves,
Waiting to return when the clock strikes twelve.
