ISO status for Modern Pack Lanka

Modern Pack Lanka (Pvt) Ltd (MPL) was awarded the prestigious ISO 9001:2000 certificate at a ceremony held recently.

Chairman Sri Lanka Standard Institution Dr.A.R.L.Wijesekera handed over the certificate to Modern Pack Managing Directress Ms Sheamalee Weerasekera.

In his address Dr. Wijesekera stated that MPL is the fourth ISO 9001: 2000 certified packaging company in Sri Lanka and as such it is a significant milestone of the MPL.

Modern Pack Lanka (Pvt) Ltd is a joint venture with one of the leading packaging companies based in Singapore. MPL commenced its commercial operations in 1994 by supplying packaging solutions to the food industry.

Thereafter MPL diversified its operations from the food industry to offer “perfect packaging solutions” to cover agriculture, electronic, educational items, toys, poultry, cosmetics, toiletries and many other consumer products.
