French smiles at Amaya Hills
By Shane Seneviratne

Ninety Seven French Travel Agents were in Sri Lanka for their annual congress and on a familiarization tour. SNAV Provence (Syndicate National des Agences de Voyage), the counterpart French organization to SLAITO (Sri Lanka Association of Inbound Tour Operators) held its annual Congress at Amaya Hills in Kandy.

The convention's theme this ye.ar is 'Sustainable Tourism' and the discussion will be based on the role of tourism distribution and how to integrate it with mainstream operations.

SNAV members arrived in Sri Lanka on the invitation of Chairman, SLAITO Chandra Wickramasinghe.

Commenting on the arrival of the group, Chairman Mr. Wickramasinghe said, 'Hosting a mega event such as this demonstrates the confidence levels of the French travel industry in Sri Lanka and serving as an eye opener for others who think otherwise'

The agents are enjoying true Sri Lankan hospitality and are delighted at the opportunity to visit Sri Lanka before the Winter holiday season gets onto full gear. The pictures show the group arrive at Amaya Hills.
