PBJ steers pre-budget discussions

In spite of the damning, Supreme Court judgement against the Secretary of the Finance Ministry, Dr. P.B Jayasundara who was ordered to pay Rs. 500,000, the highest ever compensation in a fundamental rights case after finding him guilty of having concealed facts to the Cabinet and being party to a massive corrupt deal, is comfortably ensconed in the highest public office in the Sri Lankan economy.

 
SLPA asks bunker licence holders to share facility
The Sri Lanka Ports Authority (SLPA) has asked the seven bunker licence holders to, together device a procedure to use the common user facility at the Colombo Port, according to an industry source. The Supreme Court judgement against LMSL empowered SLPA to reclaim the common user facility and to negotiate terms with others to use this facility.
