Re. Article Captioned “Ten Sports to sue Sri Lanka Cricket”

We refer to the above article that appeared in your Newspaper (20th July 2008 (Sunday).
Sri Lanka Cricket would like to emphasize that certain information mentioned are false and misleading.
Sri Lanka Cricket under the then President Mr. Mohan de Silva entered into an agreement with Ten Sports for the sale of TV and Broadcasting rights for all the in bound international matches to be played during the period 1st Jan 2005 to 31st Dec 2008 for a sum of US$52 million and it is incorrect to say that it was for a sum of Rs.33, 550,000. Further matching rights for the above period was US$1 million.
Sports Editor’s note: We regret that there was a typographical error saying it was Rs. 33,550,000 when it should have read as US$ 33,550,000. Besides that we stick by our story.
