Pyramid Wilmar Group sponsors Dharmasoka First XI team
View(s):Pyramid Wilmar Group has stepped up as sponsors in the ongoing Under-19 School Cricket Season for 2025/26, further strengthening its commitment to the development of young cricketing talent. The sponsorship was officially marked with the presentation of the sponsorship cheque and the unveiling of branded players’ kits of Dharmasoka College, Ambalangoda.
The event was held at the Mercantile Cricket Association Auditorium in Colombo. It was attended by Pyramid Wilmar Head of Marketing, Nadeesha Chandrasekara, Marketing Manager, Ramaala Wijesekera, and Brand Executive, Ishvak Mubarak. Representing Dharmasoka College, its Principal K.A.D. Karunarathne was present along with the First XI captain Jithira Sansika.

Several distinguished guests from the cricketing fraternity also attended the event. Renowned national cricketers Dinesh Chandimal and Ramesh Mendis graced the occasion. Asoka Kumara, the President of the Past Cricketers’ Association, and Gavesh Ginige, the Senior Vice President, coordinated closely with the sponsors to ensure the successful organisation and culmination of this memorable and unique event.
Special appreciation was extended to Pyramid Wilmar Managing Director, Sajjad Mawzoon and Chandana Amaradasa, also an Old Sokian, whose initiative played a key role in securing this sponsorship in support of cricket development of Dharmasoka College. School officials and players expressed their gratitude for the timely support, stating that the sponsorship and kit branding have provided added motivation as the season progresses.
