BSC swimmers impress at Thailand Meet

The British School in Colombo (BSC) put up a pleasing performance as they returned with personal best timings at the annual FOBISIA Swimming Invitational held at the Thanyapura Sports and Health Resort in Phuket, Thailand. The eight-member contingent, making their maiden appearance at this three-day meet, battled for honours together with over 600 students from 12 different countries representing 27 schools in the Boys’ and Girls’ Under-9, Under-10 and Under-11 categories.

The BSC Swimming team included Anaya Karunanayake, Aryana de Silva, Sahansa Wijesooriya, Sithu Cooray, Sanuli Cooray, Yuvin Talagala, Onish Mayakaduwa and Ohansa Wijesooriya. In addition to their participation at this prestigious event, the BSC Swimming team also had the opportunity of following a series of technique demonstrations conducted by the Olympic swimmers from Paris 2024.
