A night of music and hope for Ditwah-affected
View(s):‘Waves of Hope’, a night of music, unity, and purpose, organised in aid of communities and families affected by Cyclone Ditwah will be held on February 8 at 7 p.m. at the Radisson Blu (Hotel Galadari) Ballroom. The charity concert is organised by Rotary District 3220 and the Western Musicians Association (WMA).
The official launch of Waves of Hope was held on January 7 at Jetwing Seven and half of the 50 available tables were already reserved on the day of the launch, reflecting an enthusiastic response.

The best of Sri Lanka’s western musicians, all appearing free, are joining hands for this cause. Legendary band Misty will lead the lineup, joined by celebrated artists including Chitral, Dalreen, Rukshan, Dina, Sohan, with Clifford and Lulu as presenters. The audience can look forward to a variety of music ranging from timeless classics to contemporary favourites and many surprises and special guest appearances.
Tickets are priced at Rs. 10,000, inclusive of set menu dinner options, with a BYOB (Bring Your Own Booze) policy. All proceeds will directly support relief and recovery initiatives for families impacted by Cyclone Ditwah.
