Southern Province Ed Dept to hold prize giving at Weligama UC
View(s):The Department of Education – Southern Province has planned to hold their annual prize-giving at Weligama Urban Council auditorium on December 30.
The annual prize-giving which is organised by the Department’s Tamil section is scheduled to be held from 8 pm to 2 pm.
Invitations have been sent to students who obtained first, second, and third positions in competitions such as all island Tamil Day, second national language (Sinhala and Tamil), social science competitions, Muslim school culture competitions, as well as to principals of schools which produced victors of those competitions.
According to the number of students who have won positions, (from 1-10 students one teacher, for 15 students two teachers, for 20 students three teachers, for 30 students four teachers can take part in the event. (KW)
