View(s):Bernhard Schulte Shipmanagement (BSM) marked another milestone on a journey of professional growth by hosting its first-ever ‘Ex-Hand Meet of Seafarer Gathering’ at the prestigious Cinnamon Lakeside Hotel in Colombo last week.
This event celebrated the invaluable contributions of Sri Lankan seafarers to global maritime operations and reinforced BSM’s commitment to their welfare and professional growth. BSM established its Sri Lankan office, Bernhard Schulte Shipmanagement Lanka Ltd (BSM L), in 2023 to develop a local crew pool and further expand its sources for manpower requirements to operate a growing fleet of 650 vessels under ownership and management, the company said in a media release.

BSM Global was represented by Sukhdev Achuthan, Consultant Global CSC. Captains or masters of a vessel command high salaries of around US$10,000 per month.
