Visual exploration of impermanence
View(s):Impermanence – an exhibition by Preethi Hapuwatte and Nelun Harasgama now on at the Barefoot Gallery explores the subtle and sweeping shifts that shape the human experience. The artists, both accomplished designers explore the tensions between presence and passing, the fleeting beauty of a moment, the loss embedded in transformation, and the resilience that emerges from change.
Their work begins with an observation of life’s constant state of flux. Through layered colours, shifting forms, and textures that both reveal and obscure, they engage with impermanence, not as something to mourn, but as something to embrace. It is a visual record of how they move through cycles of becoming and letting go.
Impermanence opened on October 30 and will continue until November 15.
