MTV Channel acquires Broadcasting Rights for all ACC events until 2027
The Asian Cricket Council (ACC) has officially granted exclusive broadcasting rights of its tournaments to MTV Channel until 2027. Under the agreement, MTV Channel secured the broadcasting rights for all Asian tournaments scheduled to be played in both T20 and One Day formats.
The first tournament under these rights will be the Asia Cup T20 Championship, which will commence on September 9 and will be broadcast live. This tournament, centred in Dubai and Abu Dhabi, will feature eight teams – Sri Lanka, India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Afghanistan, UAE, Oman and Hong Kong – competing in two groups. Beginning with next week’s Men’s T20 Asia Cup, MTV will cover a total of 11 ACC events up until 2027, including Women’s, Emerging, and Youth events.
