Rediscovering Vanda

A lecture on the ‘Rediscovery of a hidden botanical gem: Vanda thwaitesii returns after 160 years’ by plant taxonomist and ecologist Bhathiya Gopallawa will be held on Tuesday (19) at 6 pm at the Colombo University’s New Biology Lecture Theatre (NBLT), Department of Plant Sciences.
Specialising in tropical flora conservation, Mr Gopallawa has played a major role in the conduct of national surveys, the red listing of flora, multiple ex-situ conservation and recovery initiatives for critically endangered plants.
All are welcome. Parking is available.
