Whether you are interested in the Marvel Universe, DC Comics or the world of Anime, Lanka Comic Con (LCC) has got you covered. Marking a decade since its first edition in 2015, Lanka Comic Con 2025 will take place on August 30 and 31 at the BMICH – Kolamba Kamatha.

Key segments at LCC 2025 are Cosplay Showcases, Tabletop Games, workshops on storytelling and design, performances, Major Zones and attractions such as “Little Tokyo”: an Anime experience.

Throughout the years LCC has evolved from a gathering of geeks into a major local platform that supports small businesses and geek culture through creative expression.

Popular for nurturing a space where attendees are encouraged to show up as artists, fans, creators, collectors or cosplayers, LCC prioritises accessibility and creative expression also inclusivity in terms of gender, language and identity, which has always been integral to their ethos.

LCC has grown into a national event, attracting over 8000 attendees annually.

Co-creator and Principal Trustee of Lanka Comic Con Thilani Samarasinha, says there is a strong sense of community within LCC, a reminder of how similar interests transcend social barriers. “It is an incubator for creativity,” says Thilini, welcoming anyone interested to Lanka Comic Con  which maintains its profile as a family-friendly event.

Naveed Rozais, another LCC Trustee, notes that now more than ever people have become much more aware of the geek and cosplaying space and how much of a community Lanka Comic Con creates.

The team behind Lanka Comic Con 2025 invites everyone to join them for an unforgettable experience end August.  Their plans are big – hopefully to extend the event beyond two days in the future,  Thilini and Naveed say.

Tickets will be available at the gate: Rs. 400 per adult and children under 12 free
