Lyceum International School, Nugegoda stamped their authority on the court as they clinched the Girls’ Championship title at the TISSL Under-15 Basketball Tournament. In a thrilling final encounter, the Lyceum Nugegoda girls delivered a commanding performance to defeat Lyceum Wattala and secure the coveted trophy.

Throughout the tournament, the Nugegoda team displayed remarkable consistency, overcoming strong challenges from Wattala and Panadura to emerge unbeaten. The team’s success was further highlighted by several outstanding individual accolades.

Omalya Senarathne was named Best Defensive Player, while Thinuli Dahamsa earned the title of Most Valuable Player (MVP) of the tournament. Both players were instrumental in their team’s path to victory.

Adding to the school’s impressive showing, the Lyceum Nugegoda boys’ team also performed admirably, finishing as runners-up after a hard fought final against Gateway College, Colombo. Despite narrowly missing out on the title, their grit and determination earned high praise from spectators and coaches alike.
