Rising stars of Ilma International Girls’ School reach TISSL Netball finals
View(s):Ilma International Girls’ School (IIGS) secured the first runners-up position at the International Schools (TISSL) Under-14 Netball Tournament 2025, held on May 29 at the Sugathadasa Indoor Stadium in Colombo. Hosted by Asian International School, the tournament saw spirited participation from top international schools across Sri Lanka.
The Under-14 team of IIGS displayed exceptional skill and teamwork throughout the competition, earning their place in the finals with pride after a series of hard-fought matches. In a thrilling final showdown, they faced Gateway College, Colombo, finishing as worthy runners-up after an intense and closely contested game.
The outstanding performance and contribution of M.R. Fathima Shalifa, was the highlight as she was recognised as the Best Centre Court Player of the Tournament, a testament to her agility, precision, and leadership on the court. With the achievement, Ilma International Girls’ School celebrated their moment of glory, while being fully inspired to reach even greater heights in future competitions.
