Samantha Yahampath, Features Editor of the Daily Lankadeepa and long-standing Editor of its Rasavindhana arts supplement, was recently honoured for his remarkable contribution to Sri Lankan arts journalism and the print media industry.
In recognition of his dedicated service spanning over three decades, Yahampath was presented with the Blossom Lanka Golden Award 2025. The award acknowledges his exceptional achievement in editing the best arts page in a newspaper, a role he has upheld with distinction for 30 continuous years. As the editor of Rasavindhana, Yahampath has played a pivotal role in promoting Sri Lankan art, cinema, and culture through insightful journalism and consistent editorial excellence.
The event was held at the BMICH and was jointly organised by Blossom Lanka and Resin Art Shop Sri Lanka. Nearly 50 individuals—including artistes, journalists, and professionals from various fields—were felicitated for their outstanding contributions in their respective domains.
The Chief Guest of the ceremony was Prof. Dayarohana Athukorala, former Senior Lecturer at the Faculty of Educational Psychology, University of Colombo.
