Genocide in Gaza: The truth needs to be told
View(s):While Palestinians are being dehumanised and eliminated in Israel’s genocidal war in Gaza, one aspect that receives less attention is objective narration. The war certainly did not begin on October 7, 2023, despite the agenda-driven Western and Israeli-friendly media repeatedly parroting this claim to shape public perception.
With the Western media twisting the Palestinian narration, the truth needs to be told and brought to the people.
To fulfil this task, veteran journalist, author and global justice activist Mahinda Hattaka has published a book in Sinhala about the Gaza genocide. Titled ‘Gaza Theeraye Jana Gathanaya’, the book combines the writer’s research, his deep understanding of the Palestinian issue and his justice-driven enthusiasm to present objectively the Gaza crisis to the Sinhala readership.
The 212-page book serves to quash misinformation and disinformation and exposes Zionism’s sinister designs. The book’s 14 chapters explain almost all aspects of the ongoing Gaza genocide. The subjects dealt with include the genesis of the crisis, the case against Israel in the International Court of Justice, the forced starvation of the Palestinian people in Gaza, and Zionism’s plan for ethnic cleansing.
Published by the Wijesuriya Book Centre, this must-read book for those interested in a peace- and justice-based international order is priced at Rs 960.
