Milo empower striving athletes at National Games of People with Disabilities 2025
View(s):As a goodwill gesture, Nestlé Milo, who believe that sport is a powerful force to connect people of different platforms for the good, the entity took a bold forward step in marking their presence as a contributor to local sports.
In line with this purpose, Nestlé Milo partnered with the Ministry of Social Services, to power the National Games of People with Disabilities 2025. The games were focused on athletics, including track and field and was held on April 3 at the Diyagama Stadium. This remarkable event witnessed the participation of 450 athletes from across the country. The participants of the National Games were also given the opportunity to compete for a chance to be selected at the Paralympics.
“It teaches children vital life values such as teamwork, resilience, and determination. The values learned from sport extend beyond the field, helping the youth grow into well rounded individuals. By supporting this initiative, Nestlé Milo aimed to create programmes for kids of all abilities, to have the opportunity to experience the benefits of sport and discover the champion within,” issuing a statement, Nestlé Lanka said.
