Ambagasdowa President College triumphs at Uva Provincial Championship

President College, Ambagasdowa emerged winners at the CBL Samaposha Uva Provincial School Games held at the Vincent Dias Stadium in Badulla last week. Dharmapala College, Bandarawela finished as runners-up in the four-day event, which was part of the ongoing CBL Samaposha Provincial School Games 2023.
The Provincial School Games 2023 were organised by the CBL Samaposha’s ‘Dinana Daruwo’ programme in collaboration with the Ministry of Education, covering five provinces including the North Central, North west, East, Uva and South, providing the opportunity for more than 18,000 children from 650 schools to enhance their sports skills.
CBL Samaposha, Sri Lanka’s leading and most popular nutrition provider, empowering the nation, organised this event for the fifth consecutive year, with the aim of improving the physical and mental health and sports skills of future generations.
Sumith Nishshanka, the Senior Promotion Executive of CBL Food Cluster, Gamini Mahindapala Jopheus, the Secretary of the Ministry of Education in Uva Province, W. Randeniya, the Senior Assistant Secretary of the Ministry of Education in Uva Province, A.H.R. Amaradasa, the Director of Education of Uva Province and M.G.C.S. Channa Karunasena, the Assistant Director of Education, Sports and Physical Education, were present at the awards ceremony on the final day of the event.
Runners-up, Dharmapala College, Bandarawela
