The Musaeus College ‘A’ team and ‘B’ team emerged champions in the Under-16 Girls’ Division ‘A’ and ‘B’, respectively at the All-Island Inter-School Table Tennis Championship 2022 held at the Bandaragama Indoor Stadium. In the Under-10 girls’ age category, the ‘B’ team was placed third in Division ‘B’ while their ‘C’ team became runners-up in Division ‘C’.

The victorious Under-16 ‘A’ team comprised of Oneli Lehansa, Shenalie Mendis, Sandinthie Jayasinghe, Dulhara Hulawa and Dunya Seelanatha and was coached by Nuwan Sampath and Shamila Manojika. They defeated Devananda College, Ambalangoda in the finals
by 3-0.

Shenalie Mendis beat Tamadi Kavindya 3-0, Oneli Lehansa beat Sinethmi Thesanya 3-1 and Sandinthie Jayasinghe beat Binudi Jayanula 3-2 to make their team’s win possible. They defeated Kegalu Balika Vidyalaya in the quarter-finals and Dharmasoka College, Ambalangoda in the semi-finals in order to reach the finals.

The Musaeus College ‘B’ team, comprising Mekayla Fernando, Hesanga Kamburawala, Nelumdi Jayakody, Medhavee Pathirana and Oshali Abeysekara, beat Karandeniya Central College in order to become the champions in Division ‘B’.
