Gateway College 25th Anniversary – Walk and Carnival
View(s):This year, marks the 25th Anniversary of Gateway College. Although it is essentially Gateway College, Colombo that completes twenty five years, the bond amongst all the Gateway Colleges and institutions and the concept of “The Gateway Family” that has always been nurtured within the Gateway Group, prompts all at Gateway to celebrate this significant milestone in its trail blazing journey of excellence.
Accordingly, on the 28th of January, Gateway College, Dehiwala has organized a Walk – “A Step towards our Golden Era” to celebrate the anniversary. The primary objective of the walk is to involve all students in all the schools, in an event which will gather the whole Gateway family together; and to enjoy camaraderie and foster school spirit.
The event will commence with a Cycle Parade from Gateway College, Dehiwala up to the BMICH on Baudhaloka Mawatha, Colombo 7, where the walk will begin. The walk will end at the Gateway College Colombo premises where the 25th Anniversary Carnival is being organized by Gateway Colombo, under the project “Education for All”.
Gateway College Colombo has organized a Fair from 10.00 am which will continue to the carnival. The official opening of the carnival will be at 6.00 pm when the walk reaches the premises in Rajagiriya. The carnival promises much fun and excitement with music from a professional band and DJ, rides, games, stalls, etc..
This celebration which is being organized with much enthusiasm will be participated by students, staff , parents, alumni and well-wishers of all five Gateway Colleges and is an eagerly awaited event which promises to be fun filled and spectacular .
