Musaeus emerge Tennis champs
The Sri Lanka School Kids Play Day 2019 for schoolchildren from the Colombo region was held at the Sri Lanka Tennis Association (SLTA) courts in Greenpath. Events were held in three different categories, namely Red Ball, Orange Ball and Green Ball, in which Musaeus College players shone above the rest.
Musaeus tennis players played well above, as they beat Methodist College, Holy Family Convent, Ladies’ College and Visakha Vidyalaya in the Round Robin stage. The Musaeus team beat Bishops College 3-1 in the final to emerge champions for the fourth year running.
The victorious Musaeus team was coached by former junior Wimbledon player cum Davis Cup representative, who holds a ITF Level 2 certificate, Ganendran Subramaniam. The event was organised by Sri Lanka Tennis Association and was held on September 27, 28 and 29 in Colombo.
