Join SLID for an evening of laughter and elegance
View(s):The Sri Lanka Institute of Directors (SLID) will be having its fourth consecutive sit down dinner at the Balmoral, The Kingsbury on October 7 to raise funds for the free workshops that SLID conducts in cities throughout Sri Lanka. This year the sit down dinner will be a dinner theatre titled ‘Charitha Resak’ – prepare for a night of laughter with a delightful compilation of characters especially customized for SLID by the acclaimed actor Wilson Gunaratne.
SLID believes that providing the country’s corporates, particularly the growing number of SMEs, with knowledge of the regulatory framework and a greater understanding of positive corporate behavioural values, will contribute to economic development. Rather than limiting these benefits to Colombo alone, these workshops have already taken place in Kandy, Ratnapura, Gampaha, Hambantota, Jaffna, Trincomalee, Kilinochchi, Matara, Batticoloa, Mannar, Vavuniya, and Ampara.
Starting with cocktails at 7 pm and followed by an elegant six course sit down dinner accompanied by orchestral music it is expected that as in the past the SLID annual event will attract more than 300 directors and their guests.
