Rap stars Snoop Dogg and Wiz Khalifa have been forced off their concert, following an accident involving 42 people. Reports from the US indicate scenes of chaos as part of the crowd attending the duo’s High Road tour surged forward pushing barriers separating them from the stage. The concert was halted. The incident took place on 5th August at the BB& T Pavilion in New Jersey.

Health problems have returned for singer John Newman. The 26 year old announced his brain tumour had returned and that he will take time off in 2017 to undergo surgery. Newman has had a tumour before and underwent surgery to remove it in 2013. Newman has had three top 10 UK hit song of his own including the No: 1, ‘Love Me Again’ in 2013. He has been featured vocalist other No:1 hit songs such as ‘Feel The Love’ for Rudimental, ‘Blame’ for Calvin Harris and more recently the top 10 UK hit ‘Give Me Your Love’ for Sigala with Nile Rodgers.

Britney Spears has named her next album as ‘Glory’ which is to be released on the 26th August. It will be a follow up to her last album ‘Britney Jean’ of three years ago. The lead single from the new album is ‘Lead Me’.

The Muppets band Dr. Teeth & The Electric Mayhem gave their first live performance last weekend at the Outside Lands Music Festival in San Francisco, US. They played a 25 minute five song set. The Muppets band have appeared on the films and also their own TV show previously.

Norah Jones will release her new album called ‘Day Breaks’ on October 7. The album will see Jones return to her jazz roots. Also the new 14 track album is been dubbed as the sequel to her multi-million selling and award winning album ‘Come Away With Me’ which was released back in 2002. Jones has just released a track called ‘Day Breaks’ from her forthcoming album.

At 90, the crooner Tony Bennett is still going strong. As he marks his milestone birthday the singer has made it known that he would like to record a duet with Beyonce. Bennett has previously recorded duets with Aretha Franlin, Stevie Wonder, Mariah Carey, Willie Nelson, Natalie Cole and Lady Gaga.

Major Lazer with the support of Justin Bieber and MØ have held on to the No: 1 spot on the UK singles with the song ‘Cold Water’. Helping it achieve that position was largely due to over combined sales of 100,000 copies. Meanwhile eight writers have contributed to ‘Cold Water’. They are Diplo from the Major Lazer, Benjamin Levin (also known as Benny Blanco), MØ, Thomas Pertz, Jamie Scott, Philip Meckseper, Henry Allen and Ed Sheeran. The producers of the song are Diplo, Benny Blanco, Jr. Blender and King Henry.

Meanwhile Justin Bieber is chasing hi mself for the UK No: 1 as he is the featured artist on DJ Snake’s new single ‘Let Me Love You’. In another other development reports suggest Justin Bieber is on course to collaborate on recording a duet with Cheryl.
